The manager eventually sauntered up and immediately found another scanner with a charge. As an aside, while at the front counter, he was openly remarking he didn't want to be bothered with any issues so close to closing, and that the workers should hold any problems until tomorrow morning. The worker scanned the item and said it could not be ordered in XL. This seemed highly implausible. But we said thanks, and we went to return the garment to the rack.
Useless staff. I went into the store with my boyfriend about a half hour before closing on 12/6/17. I became interested in a pullover and needed it in a size not available on the rack. They have numerous signs posted that they can order items in other sizes and colors if they aren't available in the store. So we went up to the register to ask if an XL could be ordered. We waited in line quite a while. The worker was disinterested and rude. She explained that the only way for them to check if the item could be ordered was to use some kind of iPod-based scanner that was currently dead, because no one charged it. We attempted to look up the item ourselves on my phone, but had no luck. The worker did nothing while we were doing this, which was quite irritating. We eventually asked for the manager.
I hate dealing with apathetic retail workers. I understand it is a difficult field and that it isn't typically rewarding. Maybe if people like this tried a tiny bit harder (and at least attempted to conceal their contempt, they might end up with fewer difficult/irritated customers. Maybe the job would then be a little more pleasant?
Friendly staff, but extremely disorganized store. Granted, it was a sale day, but I was not impressed with how messy it was.
I imagine the worker's thought process thusly: I don't want to help you, but I must, so I'll make a minimal effort > I will pretend to listen to your comment/question/issue and not even bother to feign understanding > I'll take great pains to explain why I can't help you after all > I'll make sure to indicate that the reason isn't my fault > I'll patiently wait for you to settle for my excuse and leave > Huh, you didn't leave? > I'll cop an even more blatant attitude and try to dump this (basic job function) on someone else...
Great prices... Got $200 of clothes for $100 GREAT SALES
Large store, good, affordable selection including online returns. Great sales and promotions, friendly and helpful staff. Ample parking.
We made it halfway back to the area the pullover came from when the manager shouted to us that the store was now closed. I explained that we were just returning the item to where we found it. He said we should just leave it. Ridiculous! What if I'd wanted to buy the cream colored version in XL rather the green color I was originally interested in? Evidently, the policy at this store is that when the clock strikes 9:30, everyone needs to GTFO, whether they're a potential customer or not.
That being said, my jeans are comfy and fit perfectly, and the sweaters are flattering.
I like Old Navy's decent looking, reasonably priced clothes. But I wouldn't ever buy them from this store. I don't want to expose myself to laziness and bad attitudes, no matter how inexpensive the merchandise.
Sadly, a mess. Very little staff to answer questions, and lack of clarity on pricing. Easier to shop online
